This printable teacher resource includes purposeful teacher activities designed to support effective teaching and student engagement. As part of the Gifted and Talented Teacher collection of teaching resources, it provides ready-to-use activities that save time and support meaningful learning.

The Class Find-a-Word activity is a collaborative and personalised word search designed to help students learn and remember each other's names.

Option 1: Each student contributes by writing their name into a blank word search grid, filling the puzzle with all the names in the class.

Option 2: Each student creates their own class word search.

Once completed, students exchange their word searches and attempt to find and circle all their classmates' names.

This activity not only serves as a fun icebreaker but also fosters a sense of community and connection among students as they familiarise themselves with each other's names in an engaging way.

Top tip: pre-fill student names in the editable version, so students have all names available to them on the word search (prior to printing!).
