What is a subordinating conjunction? A frequent question in our classrooms. The subordinating conjunctions wall display covers two styles of acronyms to cater for a range of contexts and year levels. Subordinating conjunctions are usually remembered by either:

  • ISAWAWABUB: if, since, as, when, although, while, after, before, until, because
  • AWHITEBUS: after, although, as, when, where, whenever, wherever, while, how, if, than, though, even though, because, before, until, unless, since, so that
