Textual Concepts - Posters and 'I can' statements [Editable]
Textual Concepts
The textual concepts are designed to be used by teachers, to delve deeply into the teaching of English. They were developed over a three year period, for the purpose of:
- creating clarity about the discipline of English
- bringing visibility to concepts embedded in the curriculum/syllabus
- facilitating transition from the lower grades to the upper grades
- creating a common understanding of the knowledge and skills associated with the subject of English

• 15 x editable textual concept posters
• Kindergarten - Year 6 editable 'I can statements'
Note:
• These textual concepts were carefully created by the Learning and Teaching Directorate, NSW Department of Education and the English Teachers Association
• Not all textual concepts are designed to be taught across each grade/stage
